Wow. What a year.
Do I need to say anymore? I sit here today and think… damn, thats been one hell of a ride. I never once thought I would have the year filled with so much fun, happiness, laughter, tears, craziness, tiredness, giddiness and everything in between all that!
The Thank You.
I have to start by thanking everyone. Without my clients, my colleagues, my friends and my family – I wouldn’t be here to share this with you. Firstly, my family. To both of my parents for supporting me and allowing me to concentrate on my photography (yes mum, I will fix that wall next year…!). To my wife, Sejal, for just putting up with my late nights and looking after our young son on those evenings when I am not home photographing someone else’s important day. And finally to my son, Ronak. You keep me laughing and smiling when I have no energy left.
To my clients. Thank you for trusting me and my vision. Thank you for the kind words at the end of every event. And then when you see your pictures, the messages and gifts. I am truly grateful.
A quick summary
Weddings in the UK, abroad and shoots everywhere in between. This has been some year! The Hindu wedding on the beach in Goa as the sun sets is a memory that I won’t be forgetting in a while.
The beautiful Registry of Roshni and Beemal in Spring at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens was equally unforgettable. Meeting their family for the first time and feeling a part of the family was special.
Moving into the summer where everything became a bit of a blur with the Sikh Wedding of Gurpreet and Aman at the Gravesend Gurdwara, the crazy party after Cammy and Amar’s wedding in Ilford. And Dharmista and Aatesh’s Hindu Wedding at the Willows in East London. All 3 weddings just had so much fun and happiness. The month ended with Cammy and Amar’s Hindu wedding at the Hare Krishna Temple in Watford and Alpa and Vinay’s celebration at Oulton Hall in Leeds (which had one of the best parties I have ever witnessed!).
We follow on with Roshan and Aarti’s Registry and Sonal and Nikhils Hindu Wedding (do you remember their prewedding shoot from 2014?). Now with summer in full swing, I then had Beemal and Roshni’s wonderful Hindu Wedding in Birmingham. This was a real family affair and by the end of their celebrations I was in love with all their family and friends (thank you or the hospitality!).
We start wrapping up the summer with my first Barn Conversion wedding (Poonum and Raj) followed by another trip to Birmingham to shoot Rina and Bhavin’s truly emotional wedding.
As the year started coming to a close, I was lucky enough to witness Kishan and Diksha’s engagement (with their wedding coming up next year – make sure you look out for that!) and Shaks and Rittu’s Sikh wedding ceremony. But we’re still not done! We finally wrap up with a prewedding shoot in Barcelona followed by Dipen and Leena’s Engagement and FINALLY, Rajvi and Rishi’s quite simply jaw dropping wedding (where the bride sang her entrance song).
Its been one hell of a ride and I would like to thank you all. You are AMAZING.
If you haven’t yet pressed play – then do so now and turn up the volume. This will hit your senses!
