Please allow me to introduce you to Wing and Dean who got married at the awesome Cooling Castle Barn in Kent. I’ve known Wing ever since I photographed her sister Michelle’s wedding. Wing and Dean came to me in their early days of planning to discuss their wedding day which was a mix of Traditional English with some elements of Chinese customs.

The morning started with Wing getting ready with her friends at the Barn. Her hair and makeup was done by the fabulous Zara and she looked stunning in her Justin Alexander Bridal dress.

Dean looked dashing in his suit with his father taking the best man duties and supporting him as Wing walked down the aisle. Emotions were high and it was wonderful to see how much it all meant to everyone during the ceremony.

Following the ceremony and into the Wedding Breakfast, Dean and Wing had to take part in the traditional Tea Ceremony whereby they offered Tea to their close family and friends. This was a ceremony which I had often heard about and the first time I got to experience one.

The speeches had an equal mix of fun and tenderness. But before we got to them, Wing and Dean had the traditional Chinese custom of meeting every table and having a drink with that table. Yes… 14 tables, 14 drinks. Rather them than I!!

A highlight for me was the Father and Daughter dance which had You’ll Never Walk Alone as the chosen song. Those who know me are aware how big a Liverpool fan I am and this moment was pretty special! Leading onto the reception part of the day and the dancefloor was never empty and credit to the DJ for this! Lots of laughs, giggles, weird dances and generally and amazing evening!
