Kadwa Patidar Centre - Hindu Wedding and Reception

It was Jesal’s cousin Meera who recommended me to Jesal and Asha after meeting me at a couple of previous weddings I had photographed.  Jesal and Asha were an incredible couple who have become wonderful friends.  We got to know each other in a crazy month prior to their wedding – but I am so glad we did.

The wedding day itself was so much fun.  It was a mid May wedding so the weather was a mix of warm, cold, wet and dry!  The wedding took place at the Kadwa Patidar Centre, also known as the KP Centre.  Its a beautiful banqueting venue in North London very close to Harrow Town Centre.  The magnificent spacious main hall makes for a stunning space for any wedding.

The Hindu Wedding

Asha’s makeup was completed by the wonderful Leena.  We were lucky enough to have a lot of time for Asha’s portraits.  Asha looked beautiful in her red lengha.  And as she waited for Jesal’s entrance, I asked her to sneakily watch his entrance in the hope I could capture a picture of her in the background without anyone noticing.

The decor and mandap was setup by the wonderful team at Gayatri with flowers from Bella Petals.  Manishbhai was the priest who ran the wedding with a nice mix of fun and discourse.  He had the authority to keep everyone and everything in check so that we had a beautiful ceremony for everyone to enjoy.  From the Asha’s entrance to feras and finally the happy couple’s exit – this was a fun and beautiful Hindu Wedding Ceremony.

We popped into the neighbouring park for Jesal and Asha’s portraits.  And with some imagination and help from Andy (my second shooter on the day) we got some of my favourite portraits.  Standout for me was me, Asha and Jesal being spun around on a roundabout… it got quite dizzy!

The Reception

The reception took place later that same day.  The evening decor looked incredible and the entertainment provided by the team at Swaha Music.  During the canapes, Asha and Jesal had hired the Silvermere Duo to provide some beautiful live background music.  And finally the cake by Cakes by Cynthia.

Asha once again looked stunning in her evening outfit with Jesal looking the incredibly good looking groom.  These guys were the definition of a power couple.  I will never forget their entrance where they were advised to enjoy it, take in every moment, this happens once… and as they entered, the music cut out!  It was most memorable – and these things happen!  But Asha and Jesal took it in their stride and didn’t let it dampen their mood.  Speeches by their nearest and dearest were a beautiful mix of love and fun.  Dad’s speech was just so touching.

Finally, the party.  Or should we say the Jaegers?  So many jaegers… and cakes!  The party was so much fun.  Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, got involved.  It was real fun and a wedding party that I will not forget.

Thank you for having me!
