Wing and Deans Fusion Wedding at Cooling Castle Barn

Cooling Castle Barn - Fusion Wedding

Family.  Thats the only word I can use to sum up this wedding.  Wing I have known ever since I photographed her sister Michelle’s wedding a number of years ago.  Michelle was one of my first clients and I was so honoured when Wing called me to tell me she wanted me to photograph her wedding.

And then she told me the location, the plans, the ideas and I was most definitely going to photograph this wedding!  We started early in the morning with Wing and her bridesmaids while my second photographer was with Dean and his family.  Wing had hired Zara for her makeup and had the most amazing, show stopping and incredible white dress.  It really stopped Dean in his tracks.  In fact, it stopped everyone.

Following the ceremony, Wing and Dean conducted a private Chinese Tea ceremony for the family.  It was so fun to watch and photograph this important ritual.  But especially the respect with which they completed this important ceremony.

The Wedding Breakfast was full of fun (shots of alcohol with every guest/every table – you need to see it to believe it!).  And then some of the most beautiful speeches including the one from Michelle which had everyone in tears.

Moving onto the reception party and the first dance which was soon followed by the father and daughter dance to one of my favourite songs – You’ll Never Walk Alone.  Which was so perfect as weddings should bring people together so they do not walk alone.

If you are getting married and looking for a photographer then do not hesitate in contacting me.  I would love to hear about your wedding plans!

“Dean and I got married on 24 March 2019 and we had Nish and Andy as our photographers for the whole day. From the start, both of them made us feel at ease, we had fun and plenty of laughter throughout the day. They were also professional, working together with our MC, making sure the photos we wanted were taken on time and smoothly. Nish listened to our requirements and he took our suggestions on board. Our main thing was to have natural photos taken and to not constantly have cameras in our faces, they done this so well that we forgot they were there! Nish and Andy – thank you so much for being a part of our big day. We certainly had fun!”

Michael and Nisha's Fusion Wedding at The Great Barn

The Great Barn - Fusion Wedding

I originally met Nisha at Nishita and Ups’ wedding in 2014!  I loved how she would look after Nishita and her support and kindness towards the couple and their families.  It really stood out to me.

We kept in touch after that wedding and when Nisha called me to tell me that she was getting married – I knew I wanted to photograph it!  I met her fiance who I instantly liked.  It helps that he’s from my home town and has such a fun personality!  It was to be a Fusion Wedding – something which I love where I see two cultures join together.

The wedding took place at the Great Barn at Headstone Manor.  A stunning venue built in the 11th Century.  It now is known as the Harrow Museum and Heritage Centre.  Its definitely worth visiting if you want to know about the local area with some great history to learn.

The wedding itself was conducted by Arjun Bhai (from Bhakitvedenta Manor), decor from the incredible team at Red Pearl Events and ceremony music by Naina Music.  The way Michael immersed himself in the ceremony was a joy to see.  Watching him be showered by petals during the fera was great to watch!

Catering for the whole day was provided by the team at Venue 5 and the food was delicious – which everyone enjoyed.  Following the Wedding Breakfast we transitioned into the evening reception where the entertainment was brought to us by the band Born Again!  This was an evening to remember!

Raksha and Paresh's Hindu Wedding at SKSS Temple in Woolwich

SKSS Temple - Hindu Wedding

Please allow me to introduce you to Raksha and Paresh’s beautiful Hindu Wedding at the lovely SKSS Temple in Woolwich. This wedding defined, to me, a Hindu Wedding where Family was front and centre to everything that happened. Beginning with the Ganesh Pooja in the morning followed by the Hindu Wedding ceremony. Every aspect of the day was planned with the importance placed on family.

I loved this couple’s faith in their religion and how important it is to them as people and as a couple. Getting to know them over the last few months, I have gained a new insight into how one should conduct themselves and I have lots of admiration in how Raks and Paresh work together as a pair. They bring much joy, laughter and love as individuals, but this is multiplied when they are together.

The wedding took place at the stunning SKSS Temple in Woolwich.  Its a beautiful venue with a specifically built hall in which to hold large Hindu Weddings.  Many people use the Temple for worshipping and its where Raksha and Paresh go often.  Raksha looked a stunning bride as she was brought to the Mandap by her brother.  The ceremony was conducted by the temple priest who had everyone entranced and entertained throughout.

The wedding ended with an outpouring of emotion which showed how close everyone was.  There is so much to say about this wedding but I think the pics will do a better job.  Please enjoy.

“Where do we start about Nish? We went from not knowing him at all or even have heard of him to as if we have known him for years. We didn’t even have to tell him what we want, just what we did not want and he took it from there. He created some of most magical moments right from the pre-shoot which knowing ourselves as a couple we did not expect – it was ALL him and his work. We are privileged to be one of his award winning couple shots. He really brought out our true personalities and we all had a lot of fun along the way. If you are looking for fresh, natural and expressive photography for your wedding – Nishit Parmar is your man!”

Janita and Aruna's Wedding and Reception at Stapleford Park

Stapleford Park - Hindu Wedding and Reception

Introducing Janita and Aruna’s stunning Hindu Wedding and Reception at the prestigious and picturesque Stapleford Park in Leicestershire. A beautiful historic house which is surrounded by stunning ground which offer a truly magical location for a wedding.

Aruna and Janita had a 2 day event with the first day comprising of a Civil Wedding followed by High Tea at the beautiful venue. The following day friends and family gathered to celebrate the Hindu wedding ceremony which was followed by a high energy party held in the main house.

I once again got to work with Jaineesha who got Janita ready for all her events in good time.  Allowing us to capture the beautiful photos that you see below.  More importantly, it was a day for Janita and Aruna, to capture their wedding day in the most unobtrusive way possible.

I loved how the two families came together to make this wedding as special as it was.  But more importantly how Janita and Aruna supported each other throughout.  Especially memorable was Janita’s arrival.  As her bridal suite was located at the far end of the venue, it took her a little while to reach the marquee.  But Aruna wasn’t worried – he knew she was going to make a stunning entrance.

The evening was an incredible affair.  From the heartfelt speeches, to the crazy party (thanks to the Urban Soul Orchestra), the Whiskey and Cigar corner to the amazing fireworks display.  This was a party to end all parties!

The two days were filled with lots of fun and joy with the two families coming together to make it a memorable occasion. With planning handled by the amazing Natalie Hewitt, her skill in pulling off such an amazing wedding cannot be understated. Working with amazing suppliers like Natalie, Janeesha, and The Wedding Filmmakers (to name just 3) – makes my job really straight forward!  The full list of suppliers is below.

Priyanka and Divyans Hindu Wedding and Reception at Addington Palace

Addington Palace - Hindu Wedding and Reception

Introducing Priyanka and Divyan’s wedding! Over my career as a wedding photographer, I have been lucky enough to photograph some amazing clients in a number of stunning locations. These guys are no different. Their wedding was a stunner, but it was only due to the hard work the two families put into making the wedding so beautiful.

The Wedding

The wedding took place at the stunning Addington Palace. This is a stunning Grade II listed Georgian Mansion. It gives a stunning backdrop to a wedding allowing for a selection of different types of pictures from an Indian Wedding. The Palace was used for the morning breakfast, while the wedding was held in the stunning Royal Pavilion. With ivory wall linings and drapes, the crystal chandaliers and the ability to cater up to 800 guests – this venue stands out in its grandeur.

Priyanka looked incredible in her wedding outfit.  As she walked down the aisle accompanied by her uncles there were many tears of happiness to see her dream wedding come true.  Her parents were the proudest people in the room – yet Divyan still hadn’t seen her!  The ceremony was a beautiful Hindu Punjabi ceremony with a mixture of discourse and humour.  After the wedding had ended, Priyanka’s family wished her goodbye in a traditional doli ceremony.  She wasn’t going far – as the reception party was going to take place a few hours later!

The Reception

With the Royal Pavilion turned around into a stunning reception setting by the team from Jay and I – and the with the support of the gents at Dynamic Roadshow (for the evenings entertainment) – this was one party which will live long in the memory.  Priyanka and Divyan looked like royalty in their reception outfits.  As they were introduced to the crowd, the energy that surrounded us took us onto a joy ride of emotions.  From the choreographed dance by the groom’s family to the emotional speeches.  To the pictures taken by the groom and the incredible music.  When you have great family, amazing friends and incredible suppliers, this is the type of wedding you will get.

“My wife and I would agree that Nish was almost instantly more of a friend than a wedding vendor. Even before our pre-wedding shoot, we had drinks just to get to know each other better. He was adamant about finding and shooting in settings and styles that aligned with both of our quirky personalities. How he managed to continue doing that during our wild wedding day was feat of its own. Incredibly creative, passionate, but most of all, personable throughout the process.”
“Nish’s final product captured all the craziness and excitement of our wedding. We could not recommend him more highly!”

Priyal and Rishi's Wedding and Reception at Hexton Manor and Sopwell House

Hexton Manor and Sopwell House - Hindu Wedding and Reception

Priyal and Rishi are awesome.  Their wedding date was incredibly popular, so much so that had they not booked, I know someone else who was ready to pay their deposit without even meeting me!  I’m so glad I was lucky enough to photograph Priyal and Rishi’s wedding events – as they were so much fun!

The Civil Wedding – Hexton Manor

We begin with their stunning civil wedding at the beautiful Hexton Manor in Hertfordshire. On one of the hottest days of the year, this was a beautiful and intimate ceremony which took place in front of the grand Manor building. With the deer in the adjoining field and the surrounding greenery this location is as stunning as it can get! Priyal looked stunning and elegant in her beautiful white wedding dress and her idea of a first look was so much fun to setup. The couple were surrounded by their dear family and closest friends creating a beautiful intimate Civil Wedding.

The Hindu Wedding – Sopwell House

The following week we met again for their Hindu Wedding and Reception at Sopwell House. It was the first time I had photographed at this cool venue and it was easy to see why so many people look to book it. While the weather wasn’t as warm (or bright) as the previous week, it allowed us to still create some cool images without the worry of too much sunlight (yes, this actually is a thing!!). Priyal looked like a model in both her outfits on this day – amazing work by Leena MUA. Rishi looked every inch the proud groom throughout the day.

As Priyal made her entrance accompanied by her uncle, I could sense how proud her parents were.  She entered the mandap and the ceremony could really start.  Partway through the ceremony, Priyal’s nephew decided to sit on the spare chair that was next to Priyal.  He just wanted to be close to her.  The moment wasn’t lost and the innocence of youth was beautiful to see.  Although it did cause a mild panic for Priyal’s sister whose seat he had just taken!  The ceremony ended with a beautiful vidai and then the traditional shoe exchange (they get more and more expensive!).

The Reception Party

Moving into the evening reception, the venue was transformed by the decor team and it looked super dreamy.  But the standout moment was the speech by Rishi’s best man.  His speech was a perfect mix of humour and affection which hit all the right notes.  The entertainment was provided by RV Sounds who I’ve had the pleasure of working with a number of times.  With such good music, a happy crowd and proud family – this was one fun evening!  The evening party went on into the night with all the family and friends really enjoying themselves.

It was a pleasure having Nish shoot our wedding – he’s a legend. He quickly became one of our favourite suppliers; he responded to questions quickly (even non-photography related ones) was really flexible, and willing accommodate any requests we had.
It was also handy having someone who’d down the shots I refused to have at our reception 😂🤣
But really, on a serious note, thanks very much for all your help Nish and for giving us a beautiful collection of images. It’s been lovely looking back at them and reliving our big day.

Kunal and Priya's Wedding at Oshwal Centre, Reception at RHH

There are a few things that you can guarantee about this couple.  1 – they’re usually exploring the world.  2 – they will message/call me at an ungodly hour (usually some time after 11pm).  3 – They have amazing family, friends and hearts of gold.

I photographed Kunals cousin’s wedding when I very first started and it was he (Dipesh) who suggested to Kunal that they should speak to me.  I am forever grateful for this.  Kunal and Priya got married at the Oshwal Centre – the same place where I married my wife all those years ago!  So the venue holds a very special place in my heart.

The Civil wedding and Reception took place a few days after the wedding at the Chelsea Registry office with the party (and it was one hell of a party) at the Royal Horticultural Halls – one heck of a space to hold a party!

Priya looked amazing at all her events.  Her makeup was flawless (well, it would be as Roshni was her makeup artist)!  The wedding ceremony was a lovely ceremony which everyone enjoyed.  Although, the fire alarm which suddenly started ringing part way through the ceremony was unexpected and funny!

The Reception took place at the RHH (Royal Horticultural Halls) with a set of funny and heart warming speeches.  The highlight for many people was the incredible Function Band who provided the evening’s entertainment.

I hope you enjoy looking at the pictures and if you’re looking for a photographer then please do not hesitated in contacting me.

Harpreet and Sonam - Wedding and Reception at Parklands Quendon Hall

I love shooting at Quendon Hall.  Its one of my favourite venues and it looks especially incredible in the summer.  Sonam and Harpreet booked me earlier in the year and when they told me they were getting married at Quendon Hall, I knew immediately that it would be a great wedding!

They had a beautiful outdoor wedding surrounded by their friends and family.  I loved how during Sonam’s entrance she had a couple of young girls minding their own business not noticing Sonam coming out.  But it says a lot about Sonam in how it didn’t upset her nor phase her.  She just enjoyed her day.

I got to meet both sets of family and the love they have for each other was incredible.  They all worked together to pull off this stunning wedding.  The moment where Harpreet’s parents consoled Sonam as she was visibly emotional at the end of the wedding was heart warming.

The day ended with a great part in the evening hosted by the great team from Ritzy Music.  With a host of speeches from their friends and family to the crazy dancefloor antics – this was one epic party!

Sanjay and Nisha’s Wedding and Reception at the Belfry

You often hear me say how much love I have for my clients. Nisha and Sanjay are no different. Nisha is Anj’s sister and Sanjay, I met briefly, at Anj and Shak’s reception. Actually, it wasn’t Sanjay who I met, it was his father who told me that his son will be marrying Nisha and that they will be in touch! How about that for forward planning!?!

So when Nisha and Sanjay did call me to tell me how excited they were for their wedding, it was once again, a no brainier! We got to know each other over the planning period. I found the at they both support each other inspirational.

Their wedding took place at the Belfry Hotel in Birmingham. Yeap, the same Belfry where many a famous Golf tournament is held. Its a stunning venue (well, what else would I say??!). And boy did we make the most of it during Nisha and Sanjay’s portraits session!

Nisha looked amazing in the morning for her Civil wedding. And then changed into her Indian wedding outfit – she took everyone’s breath away as she walked down the aisle. I had the privilege of working with the incredible Ganga who did Nisha’s makeup – someone who I’ve since got to know really well.

The wedding was so much fun. I really got to know the family. Watching them support each other gave me a warm glow inside. The ceremony was conducted by Sanjay’s family priest who took us on a journey of spirituality. With Nisha’s sister and brother in law (Shak and Anj) being given the task of handing her to Sanjay – this really was an all round family wedding.

The reception party was crazy! Lots of friends. Lots of family. But most important a LOT of good times! With Kikli Roadshow providing the entertainment with an incredible set – it really went off with a bang!

This was one of those standout weddings where I really loved getting to know the family – who have since become my extended family.
