Yath and Vai’s Wedding and Reception at Poundon House

Yath and Vai are beautiful.  They’re such nice people both inside and out.  So when I met them for the first time it was like meeting people who I knew I would grow to love.

They hired me to photograph their 2 day wedding at Poundon House.  For those who don’t know this is a beautiful country house in Oxfordshire.  Its owned by a loving family who open it up through the year for families to hire for their wedding.  With a stunning south facing terrace, immaculate grounds and the option of a marquee – this is one heck of a venue!

Yath and Vai had their Civil wedding on the first day.  A small intimate affair with their close friends and family.  Vai looked amazing in her white dress and Yath was dashing in his suit.  There were many highlights from the first day and it would be remiss of me to choose just one to focus on!

Day 2 was the Wedding ceremony followed by their reception.  Vai was once again looking radiant in her wedding outfit.  And Yath looked incredible in his Indian outfit.  There were some concerns with the weather with it looking extremely grey – but as the day progressed, the sun came out and gave us one of the warmest days of the year!

We closed the day with a great party, with the friends ‘forcing’ me in joining them for some shots at the bar!  A wonderful testimonial from the family upon seeing the same day slideshow!  And tunnel made from friends for Yath and Vai to leave at the end of the night.  A great end to two perfect days!

Thank you for taking the time to look at my photos.  If you’re planning a wedding and would like to know more then please do not hesitate in contacting me.

Shyam and Roshni's Wedding at Froyle Park

A lot of my clients are people who I have met at previous weddings I have photographed.  This is true of Shyam and Roshni.  Roshni was one of the guests at Jayna and Das’ wedding at East Wintergardens (you can see this here).  So when Roshni called me to discuss her wedding plans and knowing how her family love to party – then this was a simple yes!

What I wasn’t quite expecting was Shyam and his family bringing the smack down with their love of Grime!  This party was off the hook… but lets wind it back to the wedding first!

Roshni was assisted in the morning by the incredible Aphrodites (Mandy – check out her insta stories, I promise they’ll make you laugh!).  It was the first time I had the pleasure of working with Mandy and I love her ethos and work ethic!

When Roshni’s parents saw her before the ceremony, the tears of happiness that rolled down her mothers cheek just told you everything.  No words were needed.

Shyam and Roshni has decided to forego the Indian Wedding ceremony as they wanted something much simpler.  So as Roshni walked down the aisle alongside her was her super proud father.  From their beautiful vows to the moment they left, they were surrounded by their loving family and friends.

The evening party was hosted by the wonderful Shiv from Dynamic Roadshow – another supplier who I love working with.  And its fair to say, from the banging songs to the stage dive by Shyam – this was one heck of a party!

Jas and Dash's Yorkshire Sikh Wedding

“Hey Nish, you shoot a lot of Hindu Weddings, but what about other types of weddings?” is a question I often hear from inquiring couples.  Never fear, I do have experience in many different types of weddings and I love photographing them all.

Jas and Dash’s wedding was a beautiful and simple Sikh Wedding in Leeds.  It took place the day after Liverpool lost in the Champions League to Real Madrid… and with both Dash and I being huge Liverpool fans this wasn’t a good start!  Luckily, we’re both pretty chilled guys and we knew that there would more opportunities for Liverpool…. but this wedding was only going to happen once!

The wedding took place at the local Gurdwara in Leeds and was attended by a large number of Jas and Dash’s family and friends.  Jas looked stunning in her simple yet elegant outfit.  As she walked down the aisle towards Dash, the light just happened to hit her in a way which made her even more radiant.

After the wedding, we went to the local park for their couple portraits and we were stopped a few times by well wishers.  Its wonderful when people just offer you nice words.  I love Jas and Dash’s quirkiness – they have a few things that they do (little signs and poses) and we just had to incorporate them into their pictures.

All in all, even though Liverpool lost the day before, Dash married his amazing wife on a stunningly beautiful late May day.

Rishi and Roshni's Hindu Wedding and Reception at Syon Park

Roshni had been following my work for a while.  She had been liking my pictures on Facebook (when Facebook was actually a thing).  So when she told me she was looking for a photographer, I couldn’t say no!

I then met Rishi and we hit it off instantly.  I think our first meeting included a fair amount of banter as well as some teasing of Roshni (sorry!).  It was like we had known each other forever.

When it came to shooting their wedding, it was a breeze.  With their infectious laughter.  Their family bonds.  And the colours and smiles throughout the day – this was one easy wedding to photograph.

The wedding itself took place at Syon Park in West London.  It took place at the Hilton in Syon Park, which is set within 200 acres of scenic park land.  The beautiful venue stands out from the many others I have had the honour of photographing in.  Roshni and Rishi got married in the Grand Syon Ballroom – a large room which is ideally suited for a stunning wedding.

Decor was provided by the guys at Wed In Style, the ceremony was beautifully conducted by Parth Joshi, we had the incredible James Hasler as the Toastmaster who kept everything ticking along and the evening music was provided by the team at Desired Events.

If you’re looking for a wedding photographer then do not hesitate in contacting me and I will happily assist you in putting together your dream event.

Bella and Davins Hindu Wedding and Reception at Newland Manor

Bella and Davin are two very cool cats!  They make such a great couple and they have such a cool bond together.  But what makes this couple special are the jokes, the fun and the love between them and their family.  I love how they all have each others backs.

Bella and Davin got married at Newland Manor.  A beautiful 17th Century Wedding Venue in Buckinghamshire.  The Wedding took place in the morning in the White DIamond Suite – memorable with its stunning chandeliers and the beautiful setup.  The ceremony was conducted by Ram Pandey with music provided by Sagar Vyas – whose choice of music was perfect (including Game of Thrones!).

Bella looked stunning in her wedding outfit, but the part of the ceremony which stood out for me was the moment when they exchanged Garlands.  With Davin towering over Bella… she had a challenge in trying to place the garland over Davin!  Not helped with Davin then standing on his toes… just to make it harder!

Following the ceremony, Bella and Davin had their Civil Ceremony in the Diamond Suite.  They were surrounded by their closest friends and family who showered them with good wishes and love.

The day ended with their fun and crazy reception party in the Black Diamond Suite… the stunning reception suite at Newland Manor.  Setup with all the fairy lights to make it look like you’re partying in amongst the stars.  From speeches which were both funny and tender to the party where at one stage the dance off took a whole new level of crazy, this was one night I will not forget in a hurry!

If you love the pics, then please do not hesitate in contacting me and I would love to support you in planning your wedding!

“From our first meeting with Nish, we knew that he was the photographer for us. He listened to what we wanted and also gave his professional opinions, which meant that we were so pleased with the final outcome. He built a really good rapport with us in the run up to the wedding and introduced us to his second photographer so when it came to our big day, there were no surprises in Nish’s style of photography. On the day of the wedding, both Nish and his second photographer fully immersed themselves into the day making sure they captured key moments while keeping the photos as natural as possible. Even our family got along great with him!”

Jayna and Das' Hindu Wedding and Reception at East Wintergarden

I originally met Jayna at a couple of previous weddings I had photographed – it was her family who stood out and the fun and banter they had with each other!  Its exactly the type of people who I like to surround myself with.

When Jayna rang me to tell me she was getting married and that she would like me to photograph her wedding, I was immediately touched.  She explained that Das wasn’t so keen on the photos, but she really would love me to photograph their wedding.

And then I met Das!  He really doesn’t like photos… but he’s happiest when in his own element.  Relaxing, enjoying himself and being with his family and friends.  I quickly realised that we would shoot this wedding where we would allow the couple to lead us entirely and not force them into doing anything they didn’t enjoy.

Jayna wore an amazing Sabyasachi Lengha for her wedding which she then changed into another Sabyasachi outfit for her reception look.  Every time – she looked amazing.  Surrounded by her loved ones – this was an incredible day full of love.

Check out the pictures below and if you’re looking for a wedding photographer then send me an email from my contact page and I will reply to you promptly.

Shril and Davina Hindu Wedding and Reception at Cobham Hall

Another wedding and another new venue which I hadn’t worked at previously.  Cobham Hall is a private school which has a stunning main building and beautiful green grounds around it.

When Shril and Davina first met me, I quickly understood that these guys were special.  The way they worked with each other and how much they supported each other told me so much about them.

I was lucky enough to meet their families before the wedding during their prewedding events.  I was welcomed into their homes and I was made to feel like family and not a guest or even a supplier.  Their wedding took place in the summer where the temperatures really rose into the 30s!  We had so much fun shooting the wedding, but a highlight was seeing the best men share all the stories of Shril… I wonder if he’s managed to get his own back!

I hope you enjoy looking through these pictures and if you are looking for a photographer for your wedding then please do not hesitate in contacting me.

Sunil and Neha's Hindu Wedding at Froyle Park

This was the first time I had photographed a wedding at Froyle Park and it didn’t disappoint.  As I only shoot a few weddings a year, I try not to be affiliated to the same venues as it allows me to get creative by seeing something new at each and every wedding.

This was no different for Sunil and Neha.  Froyle Park is a beautiful setting for a wedding, whether it is an Asian Hindu Wedding or a Civil Wedding – it is just amazing.

Neha’s wedding was different as she had decided to make things a little more personalised for her and Sunil.  Firstly – the Mandap was a beautiful simple setup which showcased the venue and the wedding.  Then Neha’s outfit – not your traditional red lengha, but something a little different in which she looked stunning!

The wedding ceremony was beautifully done by Soham Acharya who allowed everyone to take part while explaining the different elements over the course of the day.

Moving onto the Reception in the evening – possibly one of my favourite parts of the day.  The music was provided by Ritzy but the standout was Sunil’s best man rapping his speech to Eminem.  So. Damn. Good!!

If you’ve recently got engaged and are looking for a wedding photographer then contact me here and I will happily discuss what I can do with you.

Bhavnisha and Viresh's Wedding and Reception at Kedleston Hall

Bhavnisha and Viresh’s Wedding and Reception was incredible. Not only did I make a wonderful set of friends, I was lucky enough to work with some incredible suppliers who have since become really good friends.

Bhavnisha had a clear vision on how she wanted her day to include which was a beautiful Civil Wedding in the morning followed by a tranquil Hindu Wedding Ceremony (which was conducted by Hemang Bhatt).

To top it all, we had the stunning settings of Kedleston Hall which allowed for a stunning backdrop – IF the rain ever stopped!!  Luckily, we caught a break near the end of the day and managed to create a couple of stunning portraits for Bhavnisha and Viresh.

Bhavnisha looked incredible in all her outfits and her makeup was applied by Jaineesha (who I highly recommend to all my clients!).  Viresh was the dashing groom in all his outfits.  But their family and friends were the ones who made this wedding.  With all the love that surrounded the bride and groom – this was such a beautiful wedding.
